A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct in-depth research and pre-interviews on a wide range of topics
- Write segment intros and coordinate the production of all relevant sound, video, and graphics
- Identify strong guests, cultivate relationships, and confirm bookings for the show
- Track down difficult-to-find people using social media and other tools
- Pitch unique stories and guests of interest
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism or related field of study preferred, or equivalent experience
- Strong knowledge of news, politics, and current events
- Strong writing skills and editorial judgment
- Familiarity with popular influencers, commentators, and opinion-makers
- Demonstrated ability to establish/build positive relationships with guests and high-profile newsmakers and the ability to maintain those connections even when bookings are canceled or rescheduled
- Multitask in a high-pressure environment while prioritizing assignments and meeting deadlines
- Flexibility to work unconventional hours in a 24-hour news environment such as weekends, overnights, or holidays

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $75,000.00-90,000.00 annually for New York City and Westchester County, NY. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents.
