Description :

Position Overview: The Mississippi Mud Monsters are seeking a Seasonal Broadcaster for the 2025 season to serve as the play-by-play voice for all games. This role will be responsible for delivering high-quality game broadcasts, hosting pre- and post-game shows, and representing the Mud Monsters at key media events. This position will also be responsibly for writing game recaps and player releases.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provide play-by-play commentary and analysis for all games during the 2025 season.
• Host pre- and post-game shows, conducting interviews and delivering insights to enhance the fan experience.
• Assist with game preparation, including compiling daily game notes, stat sheets, and media information. Write the postgame recaps and player transaction stories.
• Represent the team at media-related events, such as the Meet the Team media luncheon and other potential team announcements or events.
• Work collaboratively with team staff and media partners to ensure professional, engaging broadcasts.
• Produce and keep team stats for historical purposes.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Previous experience in sports broadcasting, preferably in baseball play-by-play.
• Strong knowledge of baseball rules, strategies, and player development.
• Ability to engage and inform audiences through dynamic storytelling and analysis.
• Proficiency in preparing and delivering professional-quality game notes and statistics.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for on-air delivery and media interactions.
• Strong writing and creative writing skills.
