Job Description
Duties- Utilize a variety of materials, tools, and equipment associated with the repair and maintenance of structures and grounds.
- Perform minor plumbing repairs of limited difficulty such as tightening or replacing in-kind fittings and fixtures.
- Perform minor carpentry repairs of limited difficulty to buildings and quarters. Construct, install, repair and replace such items as doors, shelves, supply racks, hardware, frame structures, windows, trim and cabinets.
- Perform routine maintenance at different sites and visitor facilities, to include cleaning restrooms, and making minor repairs as needed.
- Receive, unload and process incoming shipments according to established procedures, and report discrepancies and damage to others responsible for such items.
- May perform other duties such as painting, masonry work, roofing, welding, or assisting higher grade workers with maintenance of utility systems in the facility.
- Operate a light truck to pick up supplies and to transport materials to and from work sites.
