Valmet is seeking a experienced, motivated, creative and hard-working individual to be an Senior Engineering leader in product development. This position will continue the Valmet tradition of creating innovative industry leading and sustainable solutions for customers as well as supporting the product life cycle for Jamesbury and Neles branded valves, actuators and related fluid control products. Expectations To excel in the role you will:
Work will include new product development, sustaining engineering efforts, and support of technology development.
Apply knowledge of engineering principles to the design of metallic and non-metallic sealing products for both static and dynamic sealing.
Design, develop, and test all aspects of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery.
Will be involved in fabrication, operation, application, installation, failure analysis and/or repair of mechanical products.
Define and lead validation, qualification, and compliance testing of new & existing products.
Manage development status and provide professional guidance through the whole lifecycle of product development.
Develop relationships and work closely with cross functional teams to meet project objectives.
Participate in development of the team and act as a technical advisor for less experienced team members.
Ensure smooth new product introduction.
To succeed in this role you will need:
Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical engineering; Advanced degree in engineering is preferred
10 yrs of related experience
Flexible and available to interact with customers as required
Take initiative to identify and anticipate internal and external customer needs and make recommendations for implementation.
