Description :

As an Accounting Assistant for Air-Weigh, your primary focus will be on Accounts Payable and Sales Tax Exemption Management. In this position you will also contribute to and back up Accounts Receivable, Sales Order Processing and assist with other accounting functions and projects. These responsibilities include matching invoices to receiving documents, purchase orders and requisitions and obtaining relevant approvals before posting AP invoices. You will be processing expense reimbursements, reconciling G/L accounts, schedules and credit card statements at month end, responding to vendor inquiries, and maintaining spreadsheets for various metrics. In addition, you’ll be working with customers and internal teams to collect, validate and troubleshoot issues with sales tax exemptions to ensure compliance on orders shipped all over the US.

To thrive in this role, you should have a working knowledge of ERP Systems, strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. Experience with manufacturing accounting and multi-state exemptions and a background working with Sage 100 ERP and AvaTax will put you ahead of other candidates. You should possess the desire and initiative to further automate and optimize the accounting functions. The ideal candidate must have the aptitude to develop a high level of competency in the nuances of multi-state exemption management. Also, critical to your success in this position is the ability to successfully manage multiple priorities, communicate well and remain flexible to shifting business needs.
