Clovis Wings Shooting Range Maintenance SpecialistJob Class Code: 2075

Job Summary:
Under close supervision this position is responsible for performing manual labor of a routine nature in the maintenance, repair, improvement and construction of the Shooting Range.
**This position has been classified as a safety sensitive position and is subject to our drug testing policy to include pre-employment, random, reasonable suspicion and post-accident for the following prohibited substances: marijuana, amphetamines, opioids, phencyclidine (PCP), and cocaine, as well as any drug not approved for medical use by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration or the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. **
Typical Duties:
- Maintains Range using various hand and power tools for mowing, weed cutting, picking up trash and dumping barrels.
- Operates tractors and other large equipment equipped with attachments such as mowers, fertilizer spreaders and loaders.
- Assists with minor repairs of Range machinery and equipment.
- Paints fences, out buildings, equipment and other Range improvements.
- Assists with the construction of new Range improvements.
- Cleans the Range’s restrooms.
- Assists with minor repairs to range equipment and machinery.
- Attend safety classes as required.
- Operate and maintain the trap, skeet and sporting clay machines.
- May be required to attend seminars and classes to improve range management skills.
- Assists and participates in the execution of short and long-range plans.
- Ensures effective and efficient use of budgeted funds, personnel, materials, facilities and time.
- Responsible for the collection and accounting of Range fees.
