What You Do.
Oversee the administration of computing, storage and data protection systems which includes a variety of technologies, vendors and operating systems: VMWare, SUN Solaris, Dell/EMC, Microsoft, Cisco, AWS, Unix, Linux, Windows, Networker, Data Domain, Office 365, Azure, MS Active Directory, DNS, Mimecast, Citrix, etc., and prioritize and coordinate activities to assure the optimal performance, capacity and security of application systems and services.
Manage datacenter access, environmental, power, racking and cabling requirement. Develop end enforce datacenter policy, standards and best practices.
Manage the enterprise alerting and monitoring software.
Lead the planning, documentation, execution and testing of Disaster Recovery plans for Hosting Services area.
Make certain all hardware and software is properly supported, and is in compliance with vendor licensing agreements.
Ensure all changes are planned and completed with minimal impact to the users. Ensure all system resources are monitored, tracked and documented.
Lead the research of emerging technologies and services in support of service enhancements, performance and security. Recommend, schedule, and lead enhancement, upgrades, and/or purchases of new systems and software.
Develop and report Hosting Services KPI to measure service performance and capacity.
Your Education and Experience.
Bachelor's of Science degree in Computer Science or related field required
6+ years relevant experience as a System Administrator or Data Center Manager
Your Qualifications.
Experience with SAN and Storage systems design and administration (Dell EMC UNITY, Fiber Switching), Data Protection systems design and administration (Dell EMC Networker, Data Domain)
Experience with Server Virtualization experience (VMWare/Zones), Unix, Linux, Window OS administration, optimization, performance
