The Research Office Manager will provide administrative management and support to the Department of Dermatology’s research faculty and staff. This includes management of space planning, capital, travel, departmental meetings/conferences, editorial responsibilities, staff performance reviews, IT support, student and staff assignments, approval of time cards, employee concerns and HR questions. Other HR functions will include recruiting, interviewing, hiring of all students and laboratory staff members.This position will work closely with the Prinicipal Investigators including the chairman of the Department of Dermatology and will be responsible for communicating with other departments within the University, as well as other institutions on behalf of department faculty.
This position requires 3-5 years of experience in an administrative office, proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel, Word, and Outlook); the ability to work independently, to prioritize assignments, and possess excellent communication and management skills. Knowledge and experience with University and national research policies and procedures is preferred.
Bachelor’s prefered however relevant experience will be strongly considered.
