As a Van Driver, you will:

• Transport faculty, staff, and students on a regularly scheduled shuttle route in a 12-passenger van.
• Clean and operate vans including maintenance logs and daily passenger counts.
• Use a two-way radio to communicate route locations.

What you bring to the position (minimum qualifications):

• High school or equivalent experience
• 6+ months of transportation experience.
• Ability to operate and navigate a 12-passenger van.
• Ability to read maps, signs, locate locations, and follow route schedules.
• Ability to maintain calm under pressure and/or in stressful situations.
• Familiar with vehicle requirements and preventive maintenance schedules.
• Ability to demonstrate regular safety checks.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and meet University driver eligibility requirements.

Schedule shifts are 3:00 P.M. - 12:00 A.M. during the academic calendar year (August to May) with alternative hours during summer and academic breaks of 9:30 A.M. - 6:30 P.M.
