Primary Purpose:
Manage plant storeroom inventory to ensure effective operations of the Plant. Maintain proper inventory of necessary parts to complete PM’s and breakdowns of equipment. Develops and maintains productive relationships with vendors and internal company departments for management of purchasing parts and services.
Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
Ensures safety initiatives and standards are maintained.
Processing purchase orders for parts and services from suppliers.
Open, put away, receive into ERP system all deliveries.
Generate and process paperwork for any vendor returns.
Work in partnership with all other facility departments and Corporate.
Daily cycle counts are taken and reconciled.
Review invoices and send to A/P for payment
Review daily requisition report and convert to purchase order to prevent stock shortages.
Review requisition value vs. purchase orders value
Review min/max and reorder points in ERP system.
Review open purchase orders to determine disposition.
Review blocked invoice report to ensure parts were received & can be recorded in the proper account period.
Add new parts to SAP inventory & create new bins.
Education, Experience & Qualifications:
High School diploma or better required
3-5 years of experience inventory management within a high-volume manufacturing environment
Skills & Competencies:
Proficient in the usage of software applications like Excel and Word.
Proficient in the usage of SAP
Solid verbal and written skills
Physical Demands:
The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and or move up to 50 pounds
Work Environment:
The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud outside of the office area. Employees must wear hearing protection and all other assigned Personal Protective Equipment. Temperature can range from extreme cold (< 40 degrees) to extreme heat (>90 degrees).
