Advertised Job Summary
Student Services Program Manager I provides general advisement and operational support to a pool of approximately 5000 undergraduate business students. Provides assistance with Freshmen and Transfer Orientation. Provides administrative support for DegreeWorks and transcript evaluation. Conducts information sessions for prospective students/parents. Assists with recruiting events sponsored by USC Admissions including Open House and Admitted Student Day.
Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions)
Masters degree in Student Services or related field, or bachelor’s degree and 2 years related experience.
Knowledge of counseling and guidance.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, knowledge of Outlook. Knowledge of student activities programming and educational administration, degree and academic requirements, data retrieval, interpretation and preparation and related data processing procedures, knowledge of management and personnel; knowledge of student services operational and administrative activities; knowledge of student activities programming and educational administration, degree and academic requirements, data retrieval, interpretation and preparation and related data processing procedures; knowledge of management and personnel planning, ability to train subordinates, ability to inform other administrators on policy matters, ability to counsel students and staff on variety of personal and other issues, ability to serve as liaison to other campus units and public.
