The Center for Connection, Healing and Change, LLC Jobs 2020

Description :

At The Center for Connection, Healing and Change, we are proud of our systemic identity and the systemic services we provide. We are looking to recruit two Residents in Marriage and Family Therapy who are looking for a quality systemic Residency site. Positions are part or full-time. Our main goal is to find candidates who are a good fit with our existing team and can offer something unique to our current clinical offerings. ***Please note that applications will be only be considered where the application instructions have been followed.***

It is our experience that MFT training, from graduate program onward, requires significant personal and professional growth. We are required to know ourselves in the context of our most important relationships and grapple with the complexities of connection and individuation. We believe that this process of intense personal growth, combined with the development of a systemic lens on the world, creates a very special type of therapist.

Once you leave a systemic training experience it can be hard to find your systemic tribe. We know that working as a lone MFT can be frustrating and isolating at times, so we created a place where systemic practice is celebrated and practiced as the gold standard.

Our treatment philosophy focuses on the power of relationships. We align with models that focus on systems theory, attachment, emotional-focus, somatic psychotherapy, and trauma. We also interweave neuroscience with the timeless wisdom of meditation, mindfulness, and yoga to offer holistic care to our clients.

We invest in our relationships with each other and feel inspired by working alongside our systemic peers. This often involves sharing our vulnerabilities, struggles, and experiences with each other and being willing to offer support and feedback as we grow.

As each of our therapists offer a different clinical focus we can offer creative and collaborative plans of care to our clients, grounded in our shared understanding of the power of relationships. We frequently work with children, siblings, adults, couples, and parents in the same family system to create rapid and lasting change. Finding your systemic community is a satisfying and supportive place to be!

We are currently looking to recruit two Residents in MFT for the 2020 cohort of our dedicated MFT Residency Program. We are interested in hearing from all MFT graduates but are particularly interested in applications from those with a clinical interest in any of the following: couples therapy (EFT), trauma, child therapy (children and/or adolescents), attachment, anxiety, depression, grief, loss, life transitions, self-worth, emotion regulation, substance use, perinatal mental health, sex therapy, the LGBTQ community, empty nesters, and/or military clients.

Fluency in community languages is also highly desired.

Our MFT Residency program includes:

  • in-house training (EFT, trauma, attachment, sensorimotor psychotherapy, IFS etc)
  • training and workshops from leaders in our field (our next in-house workshop will be led by Harry Aponte, LMFT)
  • supervision towards MFT licensure
  • EFT supervision from an EFT Supervisor
  • process groups
  • staff meetings
  • contribution to ongoing external training where this aligns with the needs of the business
  • full systemic caseload and steady flow of referrals
  • support to clarify and deepen your clinical identity
  • training and supervision utilizing the person-of-the-therapist model of personal and professional growth
  • training/support to thrive in a private practice setting
  • full-service business model - all marketing and intake coordination provided
