Our New Orleans, LA, office has an opportunity for a Planner.
We are seeking an Urban Planner to join our team. Candidates shall demonstrate a high level of technical, research, communication and design skill and experience participating in communities, working with multidisciplinary design or research teams, and be driven in their work and desire for advancement.
- Advanced knowledge of the philosophies, principals, practices & techniques of planning, including urban design
- Knowledge of principles, methodology, practices of research and data collection
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, and GIS
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Group facilitation skills for use with community workshops
- Ability to work on several projects or issues simultaneously
- Ability to manage projects effectively and meet firm deadlines
This position requires a master's degree in planning or related field and four years of professional planning experience. Alternatively, we will accept candidates possessing a bachelor's degree in planning or a related field and six years of professional planning experience. AICP Certification is preferred.
What We Offer
Manning offers a competitive benefit plan immediately following a new employee vesting period (90 days). This includes the choice of Employer/Employee Co-Pay Medical Insurance, Employer/Employee Co-Pay Dental Insurance, Employer paid Group Life Insurance, and Employer paid Long Term Disability coverages. Family coverage may be added with the Employee paid premiums deducted under Section 125 rules. In addition, employees accrue vacation time on a monthly basis, equal to two weeks per year, and sick leave equal to one week per year. We offer ten paid holidays per year.
Professional staff employees are reimbursed for annual license renewal fee and professional organization dues. We provide financial assistance to unlicensed Professional staff who have demonstrated a Licensure Plan and timeline. We provide regular Lunch and Learn seminars which afford Professional access to free Continuing Education Hours (CEU’s).

Pay: $55,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
