Workforce Development Specialist

Under the supervision of the Director of Talent Management, the Workforce Development Specialist will manage programs and processes supporting Sinai workforce development initiatives and the training and professional development of Sinai employees. The successful candidate will have experience and skills in program and process management, system administration and managing data and information. This position will be required to establish and maintain the systems, technology, assessments and data to support workforce and professional development programs and processes. This role will work as a system-wide “hands-on” professional providing service and support to all levels of Sinai employees. It will also work and communicate with external partners, organizations and agencies and will be the external face and representative of the Sinai Health System. This is a new position and requires an individual who can work successfully in a fast paced environment, with multiple priorities, multiple stakeholders and internal and external customers.

Essential Duties and Functions:

  • Work with external partners to implement and manage workforce development programs
  • Support the implementation and ongoing operation of multiple workforce development initiatives including providing programming and support to increase likeliness of retention and career success
  • Track and report results of workforce development projects and manage program funding and reporting requirements.
  • Manage the Sinai New Caregiver onboarding program including logistics, documentation, data, reporting and coordination of facilitators and presenters. In addition, support Physician & Resident onboarding.
  • Manage the compliance training process and logistics including preparation, implementation, reporting and collaborating with internal Sinai partners.
  • Act as Sinai Health System LMS “Super” Administrator including LMS maintenance and data integrity, managing the e-learning curriculum, supporting training programs and activities, data reporting and collaboration with external LMS and e-learning partners.
  • Support the leadership Talent Management & Succession Planning process and operations.
  • Track and report workforce and professional development data and metrics and coordinate the T&OD scorecard.
  • Support the Sinai T&OD team in training operations and administration.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Support the Sinai T&OD team in training operations and administration.
  • Excellent program, process and project management, and organizing and planning skills.
  • Strong skills and experience working with Learning Management Systems and/or other business management systems.
  • Strong skills in working with data collection, analysis and reporting and data analytics
  • Excellent customer service behaviors and skills.
  • Must be a collaborative team player and comfortable navigating organizational dynamics.
  • Ablity to manage multiple and shifting priorities in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively interact with employees and leaders at all levels
  • Must be able to work independently and be accountable for results
  • Able to build and maintain constructive and productive relationships
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to effectively manage change
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other business related software

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred in related fields such as psychology, social work, HR or training

Experience

  • 3 – 6 years' experience in managing and coordinating workforce development, training and development or other business focused programs.
