POSITION TITLE: Evaluation Specialist HIRING UNIT: University of Hawaii - West Oahu LOCATION: Kapolei, HI POSITION TYPE: Casual Hire HOURLY RATE: $29.70 per hour, not to exceed 40 hours per week.OTHER CONDITIONS: Position is expected to start August 21, 2024 and not to exceed October 25, 2024.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform project tasks that promote culturally safe space.
- Provide support in implementing the Scope of Work (SOW) for program evaluation of workforce development training initiatives of the Behavioral Health Administration at the Hawai'i State Department of Health.
- Perform assigned tasks to implement programs developed by supervising faculty.
- Independently carry out tasks necessary for program evaluation, including contemporary and archival research, document preparation and meeting facilitation.
- Provide feedback for undergraduate students on program evaluation activities. Review and provide input to principal investigators and staff, as needed.
- Contribute to the completion of proposals and reports.
- Assist with conducting health, social work, and social science research relevant to projects.
- Assist with timely completion of extramurally funded deliverables.
- Attend meetings, including but not limited to, community, County, and State level meetings.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Native Hawaiian Studies, Public Health, Political Science, Psychology, Biology, Social Science, Anthropology or demonstrated experience in one or more of these fields
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Familiarity with telework programs such as Zoom, Google Suite and Slack.
- Interest in treatment and prevention of substance misuse and mental health.
- Experience working with undergraduate students.
- Experience working on program evaluation.
- Ability to perform work tasks remotely.
