Description :

Laramie Physicians for Women and Children is looking for a CNA or Medical Assistant to work with our Women's Health Team.

Responsible for rooming patients, taking vitals, entering patient information in EMR, assisting doctors. Previous medical office experience preferred. Full-time hours M-F 8-5

  • Optimizes patients' satisfaction by maximizing provider time, performing documentation in the EHR, gathering information for the patient's visit, and partnering with the physician to deliver efficient patient care.
  • Keeps patient appointments on schedule by notifying the provider of patient's arrival; reminding provider of service delays.
  • Collaborate one-on-one with the provider, to ensure accurate documentation
  • Resolves patient problems and needs by utilizing multidisciplinary team strategies
  • Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal information as needed.
  • Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols, and all other medical regulations.
  • Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Helps patients in distress by responding to emergencies.
  • Protects patients' rights by maintaining the confidentiality of personal and financial information.
  • Maintains operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Maintains a cooperative relationship among health care teams by communicating information; responding to requests; building rapport; participating in team problem-solving methods.
  • Maintains medical licensure and certifications as required for your position.
  • Greeting & Checking in patients learning correct paperwork entry, scheduling appointments, directing phone calls, filing documents etc.
  • Rooming patients, obtaining and charting reason for visit, correct vital signs, medication’s, patient history, medical, surgical, etc.
  • POC testing including but not limited to, urine dips, RSV, Flu, Strep.
  • Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations; calling for assistance from health care support personnel.
  • Maintains continuity among nursing teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
  • Maintains a cooperative relationship among health care teams by communicating information; responding to requests; building rapport; participating in team problem-solving methods.

Medical Assistant/CNA Skills and Qualifications:

Strong Communication, Flexibility, Strong Computer Skills, Excellent Customer Service, Time Management, Organization, Attention to Detail, Word Processing, Professionalism, Quality Focus


  • Lifting: Average weight 10-15 pounds for a distance of up to 4 feet on occasion. Occasionally up to 250 pounds as needed for patient transfer with the assistance of other staff to prevent potential injury to an employee.
  • Carrying: Average weight 1-25 pounds for a distance up to 75 feet on occasion.
  • Standing in place: Approximately 1 hour per shift for a duration of 1-2 hours at a time on carpeted or tile surface.
  • Sitting: Approximately 1-2 hours per shift for a duration of 1-2 hours at a time.
  • Walking: Approximately 1-2 hours per shift for a distance of 10 to 75 feet at a time on carpet or tile surface.
  • Reaching: Overhead to a height of approximately 10 feet as needed per hour.
  • Bending: Waist to floor 15-25 times per shift.

  • Environmental Conditions: Occasional exposure to hazards/possible Bloodborne pathogens: cleaning chemicals. All necessary PPE is always on hand provided by the employer

  • Fast-paced clinical setting with minimal noise levels.
  • Works independently as well as with team members with minimal supervision.
